Only buildings no people prophecy

Todd Watson was in town over the weekend, staying here at Chez Frisket. Took him to the Mets vs Astros game yesterday (Todd claims he would be happy if the Mets or Astros won since he's bi-metropolitan, the Mets won).
Afterwards we had a birthday dinner for Turbo at Pastis.
It seemed we all had (and enjoyed) the Steak Frites.
We had a round of after-dinner champagne (this was Todd's 0x28th birthday) at the outdoor bar at The Maritime Hotel after being rejected as not fashionable enough for the Buddha Bar.
Lisa and I took Todd to Five Points for dinner Friday. It was our first time there and I thought the food was pretty fantastic. I'd also rank the Gin & Tonics as amongst the best in the city.
On Thursday I hooked up with Pete Fiorese for our monthly lunch at the Palisades Center Mall. It's turned into a convenient halfway point between Brooklyn and Poughkeepsie to meet up for lunch. Pete is working to corner the market on I/T consulting for medical practices in the Mid-Hudson valley one office at a time.
Pete had clued me in earlier this month to StubHub which I used to get the tickets for the Mets game. I guess people with spare tickets list them on StubHub for sale. StubHub serves to faciliate the market and the transaction (so your card is charged by StubHub, not the person who has the tickets). What can I say, it worked, and we had fantastic tickets (the last time I went to a baseball game was some time in 1984, with Mr. Baubly's Senior Physics class, to see the Cubs vs. Cardinals at Wrigley Field. We sat in the bleachers then. Loge seating is much better!).
Took this picture of a flower barrel (pot?) down the street. We had a huge downpour on Friday night, it seemed like someone aimed a firehose at the house based on the water we got inside. Anyway, I walked Frisket by this on Saturday morning. I guess that the weight of the water blew out the sides, or perhaps the soil expanded with the same effect?

The title for this post comes from the funky e=mc2 by Big Audio Dynamite. It's one of those songs that you (well, I) wonder what the heck the lyrics are, and then via the magic that is Google, realize you were probably better off not knowing the lyrics. The track was playing when I started this post off, though it's long passed now.
I made the mistake earlier tonight of running portupgrade -a on my FreeBSD box.
It's been running for quite awhile...just hope that the box will boot clean after all the upgrades
(Unlikely, right?).
We are heading to Provincetown, MA at the weekend for a week of R&R at Labrador Landing, so get ready for the yearly barrage of Frisket frolicking in the foamy tidal flats pictures and movies.
