In San Diego, no one can hear you...

Arrived fine, around 10:00 p.m. PST. The trip almost started tragically, at least for a techie. As I left the JFK AAdmiral's Club I realized my power supply was still happily plugged in at the seat I'd just left. AA has supplied many, many outlets at this club, the newest of the clubs and possibly the first since the growth in travellers with gadgets.

I forgot last year's little lesson: when flying to San Diego, go carry-on. Even though I took my time getting off the plane and walking to the baggage pickup area, there was still a 20-30 minute wait for bags.

I'm staying at the Sheraton Suites hotel (hat-tip Priceline). So far the network connection has dropped every minute. It's either poorly managed network infrastructure, or an attempt to prevent people from using VOIP applications like Skype.
