Sanctimonious Philistine

Way back in 1993 or so I used sanctimonious philistine in a post to some IBM forum or another, to characterize a fellow employee who'd called my manager to ask for my head because I was allegedly encouraging employees to use this newfangled internet thing. I haven't had a chance or need to use it again, but I need to consider using encephalic slimemold should such opportunity arise again..
