You’re invited to attend a meeting.
You write up some notes about said meeting.
You email said notes to a close circle of friends.
Some time passes and you find yourself the target of invective, flames, inquiries, questions, and followups from thousands of people who have received a copy of your notes.

Fun, eh?

This happened to a journalist from Newsday, who attended Davos and wrote up an informal email to some friends about the meeting. The email was forwarded all over the place.
