"Frisket" is at "Monster Mutt" today. She insisted on walking over, even though it was just a shade above absolute zero outside.

For those of you complaining about the network at our house (ok, so the ding-ding on AOL and Sametime was annoying every few seconds), I upgraded the firewall we use to a Linksys BEFSX41. This is a nifty new box which features built-in filtering of content (which we likely won't use of course, but could be useful for blocking ad sites), dynamic DNS (er, again, won't use), a 10/100 uplink to the WAN (moderately useful, the WAN itself is 1.5Mbs but the connection now is full-duplex), uPNP (still unclear on the concept) and a bunch of other nifty features including inbound VPN support.
