So...I've been bad at updating this site regularly over the past week. There has not been much to update about. From a "new house" perspective, we met with the electrician and wiring guys yesterday to review how we want the house networked (cat 5e jacks basically in every room, home run to my office closet). They've already started some of the electical work, the other wiring (lan + phone) should start this week.

The DSL order finally went through. After using Speakeasy for the past year at the current home, we're switching to Cloud 9, primarily because unlike Speakeasy they returned my calls and made a commitment to an install date. Speakeasy refused to take an order until the new phone had been active for 30 days, and then said it would take some number of weeks to get the installation done. Cloud 9 took the order last Thursday (the 24th) and expects the installation to be done this week.

In other news...there hasn't been much other news. We looked at the Acura MDX yesterday and put a deposit down. We may be insane to get an SUV in Brooklyn Heights, but we both like it and it has space for the expected dog and travelling stuff we want to lug around this summer (unlike last year, we expect to do more road trips and less air trips, for some reason).
